Description
We live in a crazy time. Everyone, literally everyone, is confused, overwhelmed, stressed, and/or scared. The speed at which the world is changing is unlike any other time in the history of humankind, and we’re having a hard time keeping up.
Living In Modern America explores why the world today, particularly the Homeland, feels scary and what we can do about it. Through examples from science, history, and psychology, we explore the unique qualities that make us human and how those qualities act as a filter for our experiences, and how that filter helps create our reality.
We unpack why what we don’t know scares us, and how this fear manifests itself in different ways socially, politically, and economically. Finally, we consider questions that help us understand that what we’re going through, though alarming at times, makes sense given what we know about our biology and what we can do to navigate it.
